Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Arrival transfer to hotel in the city. Free at leisure by your own. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi - Sapa
Our trip starts with an overnight train journey from Vietnam's capital city to the border town of Lao Cai. The night train departs at 22: 00pm. Overnight on the train.

Day 3: Sapa (B)
The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 06: 00. There will be a vehicle waiting to transfer us to Sapa. The drive to Sapa is only 33 km but it takes around 1.5 hours. Once at Sapa, we will check into Victoria hotel, we have a freshen up, and have breakfast at the hotel and then enjoy a free morning to explore around town. This afternoon at 1pm there will be a walking tour to the hill tribe villages of Cat Cat, home to the H'mong hill tribes minority peoples. As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa, we will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with the families that live in the area.

Day 4: Bac Ha Market - Hanoi (B)
Rising to the sounds of morning coming to life for another lovely day, we breakfast and head out for a stunning spectacular of bobbling bazaar. Bac Ha Traditional Market is considered one of the most wonderful and colorful markets in extreme north Vietnam where thousands of local people in their traditional attires busily buy and sell the local produces. Dog, cat, pig, horse... are all on sales. This is golden opportunity to take best shots! Afternoon we will have a pleasant walk to Ban Pho village, home to flower H'mong people. Opportunity to interact with friendly local people and have pleasant walk amongst tribal villages. Transfer to Lao Cai station for overnight train back to Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L)
We arrive back to Hanoi station at 0500am
Transfer to a mini hotel for a freshen up. Enjoy buffet breakfast at 09h00am for a four-hour drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Comfort stop en route for photos and coffee before arriving to Halong City We then transfer to to a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay, giving us the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. While on board we will be served a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch followed by a swim and exploring some of the limestone caves in this area. When the sun come down we drop anchor for the night nearby a remote island.
12h30: Board Huong Hai Junk, check-in registration
13h00: Have lunch with welcome wine.
14h00: A fantastic cruise in Ha Long bay
15h00. Optional visit to Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, round over Tuan Chau island, or Sung Sot cave Optional swim at lovely beaches. Afternoon tea with pastries on the sundeck or in the restaurant and drink before dinner
18h00: Junk cruise anchor by the lagoon
19h00: Enjoy 4 course diner and overnight on Junk

Day 6: Halong Bay Tours (B, L, D)
8h00: Enjoy breakfast while cruising
9h00: Free at leisure for swimming.
10h00: Another wonderful cruise to visit Tortoise island, Man’s head island, Bo nau cave, Luon cave.
12h30: Enjoy 4 course fresh seafood lunch.
14h00: Visit Ba Ham lake, have a swim at Three peaches beach
16: 00 Free leisure for fishing and drinking
18: 00 Have dinner and overnight on board.

Day 7: Halong - Hanoi (B, L)
07h30: Junk boat once again sets sail through breathtaking secluded Halong bay:
08h00: Enjoy breakfast while cruising
9h00: Visit Bai tu long Bay, Teapot island, Chopsticks island, Bai tho mountain.
11h00: Return to Halong city and have lunch on board.
12h00: Back to Halong wharf and disembark, transfer back to Hanoi. Arrival Hanoi by 5pm. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi

Day 8 : Hanoi Departure (B)
Leisure day to enjoy Hanoi till your departure. The trip concludes. |
